GROUP WALKS

Buster, Dexter, Max, Pensarn Harbour

Group walking means your dog will be walked with others, usually for an hour. However, we sometimes accommodate dogs needing shorter walks (often older dogs who are Boarding).
Your dog is collected and returned to your property (Talybont to Penrhyndeudraeth only).

Your dog will be able to socialise with other friendly dogs. They will be able to play, have great interaction, and get the maximum exercise.
Once in a safe location, those dogs who have their owner's permission are let off the lead to enable unrestricted fun and exercise. Some dogs may stay on a leash at the owner's request or if I am unsure. Walks always avoid fields with livestock - if unavoidable the dogs are leashed until in a livestock-free environment.
It is essential that your dog gets on with others - I no longer do solo walks although using a Pet Visit to walk your dog(s) is a possible alternative.

£16 per hour.
Second and third dogs £10 per hour.
Talybont to Penrhyndeudraeth only

OLDER DOGS

Aris on Beach
12-year-old Aris enjoying the beach
Not all dogs are young and wanting to run off their boundless energy.
Our older friends also need walking too and still enjoy a bit of fun, but perhaps at a gentler pace, for a shorter time, and with more peace and quiet.
Again walks are available at the prices given in those sections.
Group walks will be with dogs of a similar temperament and at a slower pace than with younger dogs.
Same pricing as group walks.

PUPPY VISITS

Puppy, Puppies
One puppy or three - so adorable but needing interaction
Vists to your puppy (or puppies) whilst you are out.
I will clean up any mess and check their water and food.
I will spend time with them and, of course, play with your puppy.
Once they are inocculated they can be taken for short walks. Socialisation with people and animals is important to a puppy's development. so this interaction will be helpful.
Meeting other dogs when ready and safe is essential.
Note I only accept dogs for daycare and 24-hour care once they are neutered, fully vaccinated and at least 1 year old. These are conditions of my licence with Gwynedd Council.

£18 per half hour
Talybont to Penrhyndeudraeth only

PET VISITS

Cat, cat care
Not just cats but other pets - fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, ...
Let your cat continue its routine when you are away.
Includes feeding, water changing, cleaning of litter trays, etc.
Not just cats - fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, budgerigar - in fact any animal that needs to be cared for.
Pet Visits can also be used for dogs, perhaps when they are not good with others or if you have several. However, visits are just for 30 minutes unless you book two together.
Can also include other small tasks, such as watering house plants or taking in the post or newspapers. Even turnng lights on and off or closing/opening curtains to deter intruders whilst you are away.
You choose the number of visits per day to suit your pet and budget.

DOG BOARDING

Unhappy with kennels?
Dogs are often happier staying in a cozy home, even if it is not your own.
Your dog will stay with with me and often some others, so it is essential to have a Meet & Greet session beforehand to check compatibility. I also like to have a 24 hour trial before a longer stay.
Dogs sleep together in my lounge so it is essential that they get on together. Both day and 24 hour boarding includes at least two walks a day.
This can be just for a day visit (up to 12 hours, but only for local regular customers) or continuous 24-hour boarding (where you supply their food and bed, and perhaps a special toy) - ideal for breaks or holidays.
Geographical limits do not apply as I am not travelling daily to your home. Normally you will deliver and pick up your dog(s) from me in Llanfair (near Harlech).

Note I only accept dogs for daycare and 24 hour care once they are neutered, vaccinated  and at least 1 year old.
See the About page for where we are located and directions.

DAY BOARDING
£29 per day (up to 12 hours)
£23 for second dogs
Local dogs only, who have had a prior Meet and Greet session
(Unfortunately no holiday one-off dogs for day visits, e.g. to Portmeirion, Zip World, etc.)

FULL 24-HOUR BOARDING

£35 per 24-hour period
£27 for second dogs
Dogs who have had a prior Meet and Greet session and preferably a 24 hour trial.
Great for short breaks or longer holidays

MEET AND GREET

Meet and Greet Walk
Stuart observing newbie Pongo with Charlie, Sidney and Pip on a Meet and Greet
Meet and Greet is not a separate service but a free introductory visit.
With no obligation on either side, I will visit you at your home at a convenient time (for dog walking) or you will visit me in Llanfair (for dog boarding) where I try to conduct this in the garden.
We can meet each other and discuss you needs. Just as important, I can meet your dog (or other pet) and assess how it will interact with other dogs.
If you are requiring daycare or 24-hour boarding, a Meet & Greet session is essential to check compatibility in my home and with my own dogs. I cannot judge full compatibility from this session so for 24-hour boarding I like, additionally, to have a trial 24-hour stay.
If you are happy to go ahead, we can complete the paperwork (with details such as your vet, address, contact numbers, vaccination card check, neutered status, etc.).
On the next (paid) visit I will then know something about you and your pet. And, more importantly, your dog or cat will have at least a little familiarity with me as we begin our relationship.
An initial trial one-day or one-night stay can also be helpful if there is any doubt.
